Holiday Ice began in 1974 as a small family business serving a local group of retailers. Ice production was limited to 15 tons per day and was delivered by a fleet of pickup trucks with make-shift ice boxes attached to the beds. As sales increased, so did production levels and the distribution network.
Today, with the completion of our newest production facility in 2018, Holiday Ice, Inc. has positioned itself as a market leader in quality, technology, and distribution.
Our ice is frequently tested in the laboratory, as required by the Virginia Department of Health, Suffolk Health Department, the United States Government procurement services, and the International Packaged Ice Association. Our “state-of-the-art” production lines automatically form, fill, and seal each bag individually, ensuring the purest, safest products available to the consumer.
Security is also a high priority. Our production and loading facilities are equipped with video surveillance and are monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for any inconsistencies in product quality and for security.
Our delivery personnel are among the best in the business regarding efficiency and professionalism. Every delivery vehicle is equipped with GPS communication equipment to ensure efficient delivery routes and lift gates for inventory stocking ease.
